General Policies
Everyone's Welcome
This is a space for everyone. Discrimination on the basis of race, age, disability, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or anything else has no place at the gym, and harmful behavior won't be tolerated.
Accessibility
Accessing the gym requires going down a wide straight flight of stairs with a handrail. There is a 1" level change to get into the gym space.
Class Instructions
Class instruction is given auditorily without amplification, over music.
Age
The gym is first and foremost an adult space, in terms of music, behavior, and level of instruction, and group classes are meant for ages 16 and up. Teens 14 and 15 can join a group class if they're boxing alongside a parent or guardian. Younger boxers are welcome in private sessions and in our youth and teen programming when it's offered.
Gym Policies
Waivers
All new clients and returning members must sign a liability waiver before their first class back. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign along with them.
Cancellations
We ask for 12 hours notice. Let us know if you're sick or dealing with an emergency.
Late cancellations are charged at your usual method of payment: $25 for drop-ins, one class off your class pack, or a $20 fee for monthly unlimited members.
If You're Sick
If you're experiencing cold, flu, or COVID symptoms, please stay home. As a courtesy to other members, if you've been exposed to an upper respiratory illness, we ask that you box masked.
If you're COVID positive, please stay out of the gym until you're fever-free and your symptoms have started to ease. We'll consider an earlier return with a negative test.
Gear
We'll lend you gloves for your first class. After that, you'll want your own. Wraps (180 inch) are $10 at the gym and go under your gloves to protect your wrists.
If you'd rather try a class before buying anything, you're welcome to skip the gloves and wraps and punch the air instead of the bags. It's a good way to get a feel for the place first.
Gloves, wraps, water, Gatorade, protein shakes, and snacks are all available for purchase at the gym. Ask Jess for glove recommendations before grabbing something off the sporting goods shelf - most "fitness" boxing gloves don't offer enough support for the amount of bag work we do, and injury prevention comes first in everything we recommend.
